Personal training with Jim has really helped to guide me with getting stronger, learning safer ways for routine physical activity to prevent injury, and feeling better! As a senior, for me, it seemed like routine daily activities were gradually taking a greater toll, in the form of recurring lower back pain and shoulder issues even after my PT was completed. I’d like to recommend Jim Burns of “Be Simply Fit” to anyone looking for a personal trainer. Jim is certified by National Academy of Sports Medicine, CPR/AED certified and a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist. I am an older, slightly overweight, woman with two bad knees. I am trying to avoid knee surgery as long as possible. In the month that Jim and I have been working together, I can already see improvement especially in going up and down stairs with less pain. My arms are getting stronger as well. Jim has given me a variety of activities to do in his basement gym that have kept me motivated. I have been given “homework” as well. Jim watches and spots each exercise to make sure I am performing it correctly and am safe. As a “senior”, I appreciate his philosophy of “feel pain then stop”. Don’t do damage. He has adjusted workouts to meet my needs and my progress. So I would recommend Jim for anyone looking for some one on one training.
